Taste Of the Danforth
Taste Of the Danforth

The 16th annual Taste of the Danforth is a huge street party, which easily can draw a million people over the three-day period. Trust me, at certain times especially from the mid afternoon to well into the evening; one should expect to be shoulder to shoulder in an endless sea of party goers.
The Danforth has one of the highest concentrations of Greek restaurants per kilometer in the world. So it’s given that you’re going to eat well. All the popular Greek dishes are present and priced at a discount for the masses. Souvlaki, gyros, lamb, spanakopita, and all those other beloved Greek fare are well represented as local restaurants served them up festival style. Also there are some not so traditional items not typical of Greece, like kangaroo or pad thai.
In addition to the amazing food there were also several beer gardens, eclectic musical performances in addition to the traditional Greek Dancers and Bands, a Celebrity Stage featuring "A Taste of Broadway", including "The Sound of Music" (Mirvish), "The Jersey Boys" (Dancap), and "Breaking Up is Hard to Do" (Stage West), and Second City, and a whole bunch of other attractions.
